What will Nov, 2010 be like?

Jennifer sent me this a couple of days ago. I thought it was pretty good.

We had our Easter Egg Hunt wknd this wknd, with Emilie having 2 of them. She did great, but was pretty scared of the Easter Bunny! I had the "privilege" of being the Easter Bunny today, which was quite a treat! Kids chasing me all over the place for an hour, bunny hopping, etc. Wow. It was nuts.

March has been a good month. Last wknd we were up in Lake Rabun with the Edwards clan, staying at Ashley Martin's lake/mountain house. Without TV, it made things interesting during the NCAA tourney! We got to hike up to Minnehaha falls on Saturday, which is very pretty. We had a good time with the fam...eating, drinking, etc.

Not much going on with us this week, except that we hope the backyard project finally gets underway in earnest! Much needed,

Emilie's growing up!

The last month or so, Emilie has really started to grow up. She's just over 17 months, and is saying more and more each day. She'll say sock and shoe when we're putting them on...she says I love you when she's going to bed, and is certainly understand a lot more too. If you ask her if she wants to go outside, she'll run right to the back door.

She's all growns up!

What's been happenin'

it's been a couple of months since I posted, so there's a lot to catch up on, mainly our Suhweet trip to Hawaii! I'll see if I can make this somewhat quick.

We left on Friday morning, after Atlanta's first ice of the winter, which of course put us back 2 hours, and caused us to miss our connectiong in SLC to Maui. So we had to fly through LAX (ran into Tony Barnhardt and tons of Ala fans celebrating their National title W), and finally got to Maui about 9 p.m. local time, 5 hours later than planned.

By the time we got our bags and car and got out to the Ritz, it was 11:30, and we'd been up essentially for 24 hours. Emilie was awesome on all the plane rides though, aside from one 30 minute spell when we were trying to get her down on the way to Maui from LA.

Saturday was just a nice day at the beach and pool. We rented a Cabana and just lounged. It was nice. We went to Hula Grill in Ka'anapali that night for dinner, and that was it.

Sunday we went to the golf tourney...there were golfers all over our hotel as well. The course was awesome, and Geoff Ogilvy won, with Kuchar finishing 3rd. We had post-game drinks next to two reigning champs Cabrera (Masters) and Glover (US Open). Lucas's wife and mom were loving Emilie's gold sandals! AM and I went out to dinner in Lahaina at David Paul's, while Wein stayed home with Em.

Monday we went on a whale-watching, and it was pretty cool. We also drove down to Wailea, which is very nice, and went to the beach that aft. We just ate at the hotel on Monday night, and I think I had the best steak sandwich I've ever had. It was awesome.

Tuesday we were back at the pool, just hanging out, and ate Sushi that night at Sansei.

We left on Wednesday afternoon, after hanging out at the beach all morning. We took the scenic route back to Kahului, which was quite a hairy road! One way for about 5 miles, as we're hanging off cliffs, and dodging cars. It was dicey in a few places for sure.

We finally got into Kahului that aft., and went up to Paia to watch the surfers and do some shopping. After that, we boarded the plane and took the red-eye back to SLC, then got to Atl about 3 on Thur afternoon!

The trip really was awesome, and my terrible explanation is due to me not having a ton of time right now. I'll have to get some pics and video up shortly.

Since then, we've just been around Atl and C'willa for the most part. AM and I both had our birthdays ('rents to us to Horseradish where Em was scooping cheerios with a fork...pretty impressive!) and we also had V'tines day (we went to see the movie Valentine's Day and went to Valenza). Things have been pretty normal the last two months. We're really trying to finish off the bonus room and the backyard, so we're hoping to have that done before Spring is over!

Emilie is really growing up. She blabbers all the time, is starting to say "stop" as well as a few other things. She of course is running all over the place. Loves going to the stairs and making us pull her off of them, and loves riding in her car outside. She likes to read books to herself, and also likes to dress up animals and dolls (or likes to watch mommy do it). She'll often try and give the paci or her milk to her dolls, and then even burps them every now and again. Pretty funny!

Sports-wise, the Jackets are floundering as usual in hoops. Paul Hewitt's albatross of a contract continues to loom over us. But my boy Duval is coming on a little, with a T2 at the AT&T at Pebble. There's hope yet!
I'm sure there's a ton more, but I need to get back to work.
