Beach

We took a little family beach trip a couple of weekends ago to the 'rents place in Destin.  It was great.  Wish we got down there more often.  The beach and water in Destin is awesome.  3 days of solid beach time...didn't make it to the pool once!

Potty training...

After a couple of failed attempts, we are finally making some good progress on the Emster becoming potty trained.  She's been using the potty with regularity, with very few accidents...thankfully.  It's full bore from here...no more diapers. 

Em likes to get comfy on the potty too...as evidenced here...

More summer fun...

 I had a few more pictures on my phone that I wanted to make sure I got up here. Last week the Millers came to town for a visit and got to do a big cousin outing to Build A  Bear(mini-cousins excluded). Geraldine and I took the whole crew and they were great-very well behaved as we tromped all over the mall! We built bears and rode the little train around NorthPoint!

 Emilie also had a fun time building some crafts with mommy. (She had so much fun doing them with Nanna and Mary James the week before). This little guy she affectionately named "Poogie"-not sure why. And yes- she insisted in sitting in Pete's high chair for our crafts time(luckily Pete was napping)!

 And finally- Em helped Daddy with washing the old Bimmer! Have you ever seen such a dainty car washer!? Unfortunately poor Pete didn't get to join in this fun- he and mommy had a Saturday visit to the pediatrician because he had a ruptured eardrum. Pretty scary to hear, but it should heal fine. We will get some more pictures of the little guy-and his new teeth if we can catch a shot- soon!

Been a little while since we posted...

We've been some busy folk the past few weeks.  AM had a work trip to St. Louis for a few days, so me and the kids kicked it at home, with an assist from Nanna and Pops.

Not much else has been going on, to be honest.  We got down to the lake one weekend, and even got on the tennis court.  7-5 Dish.  Yeppers. 

Pete's growing up all over the place.  He was doing this scoot thing for a couple of weeks to move around, but just this week, at just over 8 months, he's figured out how to crawl using his knees.  He's also loving trying to pull up, and does it on most anything...

And, he cut one....maybe two...teeth in the last couple of days.  Finally.  He's so different than Emilie.  She just would stay in the same place and be so calm in her playing...this dude is all over the place and getting into everything!  Good for him.
