Pete and his Band

Pete has started a band, in case you didn't know.  Pete is on guitar, with Isabel Troughton on drums and Luke Podraza on vocals.

Their first gig was at Luke's Gigi's house, for Avery Podraza's 4th birthday party today!  Sounds like the 2nd coming of the Beatles!

Little Birmingham Trip

I have been wanting to get over to see my good buddy Todd Cox and family, and finally we got to Birmingham for a short overnight stay.  We had a great time hanging out with the Cox's and meeting their 15mo old, Andrew.

Got there just after lunch, and headed to the Birmingham Zoo shortly thereafter.  Their Zoo is really nice!

Cool Monkey

Just hung out at Todd and Haley's after the Zoo...watched a little Masters and ate some good grub.  We ended up staying at the Hotel Highland downtown, which was nice.

Next morning, we went and met them for a great breakfast, and then came back to their house to play some more, as it was pouring outside.

Pete and Em had a blast playing with Andrew!  It was great to meet him, and we can't wait to see them again soon!

Masters

Had a great day at the Masters today. Noe and Art were kind enough to invite us along with them today.

This is my 4th time going and the course continues to look better each time I go. Just in unbelieveable shape.

Had a great time watching all the players try and skip the ball across #16 pond and got up close to Tiger as he walked to an afternoon round w Freddie.

Always a great day when it can be spent at the Masters!

Great weekend!

I've been promising myself I am going to get back into posting.  We'll see if I am able to do so.

We had a great weekend this weekend.  Literally had nothing on the calendar to do, which was nice.  AM and I got to go to the Braves game on Friday night, our first in our 20-game pack that we bought with Noe and Art.  Friday night fireworks were awesome.

Saturday, we performed the 'divide and conquer'.  AM took EM to Home Depot to get spring flowers, and to pick up her friend Emery King for an afternoon playdate.  Pete and I did some things around the house, and ran a few errands.  We got the backyard in tip-top shape (except for the still to-be-planted garden) and waited on the mail to arrive.

Luckily, the mailman brought us great news as Emilie was accepted into OLACS!  We're so excited and are very thankful that they have chosen her to be part of their Pre-K next year.  It's a perfect fit for her, and can't wait until she starts there in just a few months.

We went to church yesterday evening and went to Mark & Susan's for dinner, which was fun.  Em got to celebrate with her cousin Ben, who also learned yesterday that he got into OLA as well!

Today was just a day of playing with the kids, washing cars, more yard work, grocery store, grilling out, s'mores outside after dinner, bath, and bed.  Fun day.

Perfect s'more by Daddy

One day of work tomorrow, and then we head to the Masters practice round on Tuesday!  Looking forward to seeing my buddy Todd Cox, and meeting his little man Andrew this weekend in Birmingham!
